Skill share at Cae Poeth

Just a reminder that the next skillshare at the beautiful Cae Poeth Nature Reserve will be on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th November, 10 - 4 each day.  I hope you can join us for willow weaving, saw and shave horse making, coppicing and step 1 yurt building.

On the 'agenda' this time...

Willow weaving. Try your hand at weaving screens, baskets, hurdles, pea supports...

Help to build a saw horse and a shave horse, to keep on site for future green wood work

Coppise willow and build a former to place poles in – the first step to building a yurt next year!

Look for evidence of dormice (seen on the site last May).

Carve yourself a spatula or spoon.

As usual, we'll have a shelter up in case of rain and will provide free tea, coffee and biscuits. Please bring a your own packed lunch/snacks to share, gloves if you have them, and plenty of warm clothes!

You can get a lift at the beginning/end of each day from Machynlleth, or I can help arrange carsharing. For more information please contact Cath Rigler on 01654 702993 / 07757 211059 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
