Cae Poeth spring events

Cae Poeth Nature Reserve - Skill Share Days

8th and 9th June - CPNR will be hosting their usual 2 day skills share event with guest wildlife recorder Scott Roe guiding the examination and recording of a range of wildlife species: beetles, dragonflies, moths, butterflies, mammels, tadpoles, newts. Usual conservation activities will be taking place and, as always, a lovely cup of tea round the fire. Both days run from 10am to 4pm.

Coetiroedd Dyfi Woodlands - Woodland Management Plan Open Day

8th June - Following two evenings of consultation meetings (4th and 5th June) on community woodland management, an open day will be held at Ty Gwyn where there'll be a range of interesting talks and demonstrations of woodland management techniques as well as some exciting activities including: green woodcraft, horse logging, woodland games and an exhibition of this year's FEI 'Footprints in the Woods' Art Project. You'll have an opportunity to contribute to ideas for the future management of Ty Gwyn.

9th June - Surveying for Ancient Woodland Indicators with Natural Resources Wales Ecologist Nick Young. New methods of recording will be used to establish the locations of these plants which will later contribute to the woodland management plan for the site.

What a great weekend of woodland learning it will be! We look forward to seeing you at both events!
