Local bands The Boy And The Flatpack Band and Heed The Thunder, plus exerpts from Camilla Cantanda’s opera The Carbon Chronicles in an evening of music, socialising and fundraising for the Herefordshire in Transition Alliance. With low carbon beer courtesy of award winning Spinning Dog Brewery!

Pressing apples to mark 10:10

Apple Day  at Ashfield community project on 10:10:10

Supporters  of the newly established  community land trust at Ashfield in Howey have linked up with the  Local Food Group from Llandrindod Transition to gather in the apple harvest and make juice, as part of a  global  Low Carbon Action Day on 10/10/10.  The 2010 Ashfield Apple Day takes place on Sunday 10th October from 11am to 4pm. Entry is free and all are welcome.

Full Permaculture Design Course in Carmarthen

There are still some spaces on this 72 hour course run over 5 months, based in Carmarthen Community Education Centre, South Wales. It is supported by the Open College Network and so will cost ONLY £88.00 (not including site visits, certificates and association membership).
