Food Chain Campaign Event

FOOD CHAIN CAMPAIGN (Planet sustainable food production) 5th October

A free event to discuss the food chain has been organised at Wyeside, Builth Wells on 5th October 2009, starting at 7:30pm.

All summer, Friends of the Earth groups have been working locally on our Food Chain campaign - successfully linking British factory farming to South American deforestation. To continue the great work we are holding a tour taking Sergio Schlesinger, a Brazilian expert on the damaging impacts of soy production, on tour in communities around the UK to speak alongside British farmers and local politicians, further cementing our campaign among the public and politicians.

That fount of goodness - the walled garden at Doldowlod - will be open for a sale of seasonal abundance on Saturday and Sunday morning this weekend only, from 10.30am to 2pm.

Luscious fruit and veggies for sale. Ideal opportunity to see the garden and stock up for the freezer and the preserving pan.
