Cwm Harry brings growing to Newtown High Street

Local Food & Growing in Newtown

Right in the centre of Newtown, on the High Street, next to the Market Hall.

Saturday 25 February, 10-3pm

Cwm Harry Community Garden will be holding a seed swap and free seed starter packs, giving growing advice, and free soil improver from Cwm Harry Land True – bring a strong bag!

Also – find out about free micro allotments, and the Cwm Harry Co veg box scheme. Plus - visit the Cwm Harry Vessel Composting Plant on the Vastre estate, and take a tour of the adjoining community garden.

David Lovelace will present ‘Digital Methods for Historic Landscapes: Veteran Tree and Ecological Surveys’ at the Oxford Arms in ington on Thursday February 23rd at 7.30pm. This is part of the ongoing Kington Treescapes programme.

Blaeineinion Beaver Project launch

Community tree planting days, and Beaver Project launch, Sunday, 19th February.

Come and plant some trees, bring the kids, eat Thai soup, and learn more about the two resident beavers at Blaeneinion.

Blaeneinion is also featured on the Rural Focus programme on BBC Wales, Sunday 12  February at 7am - or available on iplayer after broadcast.
