Free Energy Surveys in Hay

Transition Hay-on-Wye and the Hay Festival have teamed-up to offer a monitoring and surveying capability for any buildings including houses, businesses and schools. This is a free community service and includes:

external building surveys with a thermal imaging camera

spot checking internal and external wall temperature to identify cool spots with an infra-red thermometer (equipment also available for loan),

monitoring electricity usage across whole property and individual devices (equipment also available for loan),

domestic energy surveys via the Big Green Challenge finalist Household Energy Service.

The information gained from the surveys will help you to find ways to save energy and cut costs. In return, with your permission, we will use the thermal images for further awareness-raising including at the Hay Festival.

The best results are obtained whilst your house is still being heated,

so please book ASAP via Ainsleigh at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or telephone 820332. Please pass this offer onto anyone who you think may be interested. Priority will be given initially to people who live in or near Hay.
