  • The 2014 Spring Greens Fair


    Bigger, better, bursting with good things green, but still intimate and charming...the 2014 Spring Greens Fair is back this weekend, 3/4 May at the wonderful Court of Noke, Staunton on Arrow. Mid Wales Permaculture Network will be there, of course (perennial forest garden plants for sale and adopt-a-plant with free plants for children. This year there will be even more wonderful food, activities, forum discussions, demonstrations, crafts, performace... see it all here:

Renewable Energy for Communities

Community renewable energy event and exhibition

8th December 2010-11-12 Royal Welsh Agricultural Showground

The day is to provide advice and ideas to community groups who would like to generate renewable energy for community income or take action against climate change within their communities - but don’t know where to start! The workshop will provide plenty of information and also opportunities for networking, interactive sessions and feedback.


Programme of Presentations to include:

§       Feed in Tariff and Securing Funding

§       Renewable Technologies – wind, hydro, PV, biomass, solar thermal, AD

§       Planning and Permits – what you will need to do

§       Support Available – advice, funding, technical support

§       Case Studies – communities who are already active and         lessons learned

Workshops/Interactive/Q&A - sessions to get feedback on the community schemes happening in Wales and the barriers to them.

Exhibitions to Include:

§       Installers and Consultants (MCS accredited or pending)

§       Advice and support organisations

§       “Before and After” displays from existing community schemes
