If the TTIP goes ahead, as is being discreetly negotiated at present, it will make billions for the US global corporations and ruin our society, economy and environment in the process.

Zero Carbon Concert to rock Aber

Aberystwyth hosts its first Zero Carbon Concert at lunchtime Saturday 27th November as part of a worldwide event.

Starting at 11.45am, the free Aberystwyth Zero Carbon Concert takes place in the bandstand on the promenade and finishes about 3pm.

It is one of many concerts being held on that weekend, just before the UN climate summit in Cancun, Mexico. The Worldwide Zero Carbon Concert intends to demonstrate that it is possible to have fun without causing climate change.

bikeBands that will be rocking the bandstand include Quercus Burlesque, The Unknown, The Present, and The Horizons.

The line up will include other performers such as Côr Gobaith and Samba Agogo. But it does not stop at performers - there will also be stalls and displays promoting ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

The Zero Carbon Concert has only been made possible with the help of Seren Events, providers of bespoke low energy solutions for any and all events, whose wind and solar charged PA will power the event

Organiser Moth Foster said "We are hoping this will be a fun, low carbon event. We are inviting people from across Wales to come along on foot, by bike, train, bus, or even unicycle to enjoy for free some of the best local talent without causing climate change".

Warm coats recommended!
