Can we encourage as many as possible to sign and/or organise petitions - and if possible to attend the "Day of Action" at the Carmarthen Guildhall on Saturday 30th August at 10am.

If the TTIP goes ahead, as is being discreetly negotiated at present, it will make billions for the US global corporations and ruin our society, economy and environment in the process.

Hustings for Welsh Assembly Elections

Thursday 21st April,  7.30 pm at Llandeilo Rugby Club

On 21st April you will have an opportunity to see all the Welsh Assembly candidates together, hear their views on matters related to the Assembly's new powers and ask your own questions. Transition Town Llandeilo is interested in all matters concerning a future in which fossil fuels will be increasingly expensive and the impacts of climate change are felt across the world. Our new Assembly Members will be dealing with agriculture, fisheries and forestry; with the environment; with health and health services; with highways and transport; housing and town and country planning; water and flood defences; education and training; economic development.

That's quite a list for our devolved government and through the Transition group we have a good chance of influencing our candidates and informing them of some of the creative and positive ways forward that are being developed. In transition groups, people are beginning to see the power that we have to shape our own communities, rather than wait for governments to decide for us. So come along on April 21st to Llandeilo Rugby Club at 7.30pm.

We aim to have simultaneous translation facilities to encourage maximum participation and communication.
