If the TTIP goes ahead, as is being discreetly negotiated at present, it will make billions for the US global corporations and ruin our society, economy and environment in the process.

News update from Gary Mitchell

I’m now three months in to my new post and during this time I have been trying to get out and about in my area as much as I can.  I have really enjoyed meeting the many interesting and varied people involved in the growing and community projects throughout Mid-Wales.   I now look forward to working with you on your ideas and continued development.  I realise that there are many more out there that I have yet to make personal contact with, I certainly hope through this event to meet many more of you.

I have now finalised plans for my first Regional Gathering Event.

This will be held at the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) near Machynlleth on Wednesday 2nd November – Please see attached flyer.

The theme for this event will be ‘Sustainability’ not just in the environmental sense, but how can member groups achieve sustainability through volunteer engagement, avoiding key worker and trustee burnout and exploring alternatives to grant funding etc.

We have lined up some exciting and engaging speakers in addition to these we will be running several workshops where more detailed involvement can be achieved.  There will also be time to view the growing spaces and research work that CAT carries out.

I hope you and your group members will be able to join us.

Please register for the event at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DPQFQ2G alternatively you can complete the attached booking form and return it to Abigail Charles; This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or post it to our Cardiff Office
