Community energy opportunity

Community energy seminar in Llanidloes

The Cambrian Mountains Initiative and LLES Ltd are hosting a Community Energy Seminar in the Church Hall, Llanidloes on Thursday 24th of May (11am - 3pm approx).

This event, which is re-arranged from the 31st of March, will aim to:

1) Draw together the threads of the recent engagement work;

2) Present the results of recently commissioned studies that look at the potential of the proposed Green Deal to improve the efficiency of a number of property types common to the Cambrians and at pinpointing the top potential sites for micro hydro on our streams; and,

3) Examine the context and the support available for the development of a Community Energy Network beneath the umbrella of the Cambrian Mountains Initiative.

The seminar is open to representatives from community groups and interested individuals in the energy sector who would like to be involved in a community energy network for the Cambrian Mountains. Places will be limited, so please advice us of your desire to attend as soon as possible, and no later than 5pm on Friday 18th May. There is no cost to the event. Lunch will be provided.

Please circulate this diary marker to your networks.

Further details and an agenda for the event to follow asap.
