    Bigger, better, bursting with good things green, but still intimate and charming...the 2014 Spring Greens Fair is back this weekend, 3/4 May at the wonderful Court of Noke, Staunton on Arrow. Mid Wales Permaculture Network will be there, of course (perennial forest garden plants for sale and adopt-a-plant with free plants for children. This year there will be even more wonderful food, activities, forum discussions, demonstrations, crafts, performace... see it all here:

Music launches KLEEN Energy Week

Kington's KLEEN Energy Week will have its launch on Friday, February 12 at the Oxford Arms, 7.30pm, with a double bill of acclaimed home-grown Ragged Glory – and the travelling minstrels, Ed and Will, who are walking round Britain. New Regulations on Battery Recycling


New EU legislation means that from 1st February 2010 most sales outlets will be obliged to accept old batteries and send them for recycling, keeping these toxic items out of landfill.

Trialling Welsh Varieties

Dyfi Valley seedsavers still have capacity for some more triallers for interesting Welsh vegetable varities this season.

The scheme kicks off with a workshop on vegetable breeding at Seedy Subday in Machyntlleth on February 28th, and there will be a follow up on seedsaving at Seedling Saturday in Mach on May 8th. It is planned to bring participants together for a debrief of experiences at the end of the season.
