An introduction to Permaculture
Would you like to learn how to live more sustainably? Then look no further than Permaculture design for how to create an ecologically sound way of living.
By observing natural systems and adopting ecological principles you will be able to care for people as well as the earth. A visit to a local permaculture site to see sustainable practices in action is included in the course fee.
If you have a group which would like a bespoke course organised, please contact us. A course for 8 or more people can usually be arranged at any venue and date subject to tutor availability. Accommodation is available at Denmark Farm Conservation Centre (www.shared-earth-trust.org.uk); Over the Rainbow (www.overtherainbowwales.co.uk) and full board accommodation for 3 nights at Trigonos.

Get stuck in with Newtown's community garden
Volunteer Wednesdays - get involved and Get Growing!
So we have finally moved to the new garden at Coleg Powys, we are on the college campus, turn off the roundabout by the college/ Theatre Hafren and right before the college main entrance and we are first left and located in the bungalow called Pen Dinas. Emma will be there from 10 am this morning for our first chance to get stuck into the garden and to start making sense of the space. The garden’s main features have been designed as part of a garden design course we ran in the summer and will include polytunnels, a relocated roundhouse and intensive growing area, forest garden, wildlife areas as well a community growing area and micro allotment plots. We have stuck closely to our organic and permaculture gardening principles and it is a great chance for anyone to learn how to approach developing such a space.
